I really don’t know where the time goes. Everyday I have a huge list of job’s to do, I start on the first job & it ends up taking all day. Terry and I are always optimistic on how many we can squeeze in a day but reality hits by the afternoon, when the 10th cup of tea is made.
Finally we have ordered our sign’s for the entrance to the property, so it won’t be long before we can take the old Curramore Country Cabins sign’s down which at the moment is pretty confusing for our guest’s who are trying to find us.
Lately the weather has been really hot, so on our tea breaks we have been enjoying sitting out on our deck, taking in the views. Recently we have been getting a few visits from the King Parrots, one in particular was being very cute & would show up a couple of times a day. Each day this bird came, Terry would put a handful of seeds out, well ( Harry, Terry called him) was happy perching next to, or on Terry’s hand while he was eating. All the while our dogs were made to behave themselves around this Parrot (Now, this is a very hard thing to do, especially when the best thing to look forward to at the end of the day, is chasing birds around.)
After a short while, Harry would even come in the house, perch himself on the couch & wait for his food while our dogs could not get near him because they knew Terry would tell them off. Then we ended up feeding him & his mates, who would turn up several times a day. We were even woken up in the morning, hearing Harry making a racket outside our bedroom, expecting his food.
Well although Harry & his buddies knew they were on to a good thing, we are going to feed him & his buddies once a day now.
Hopefully next time a bird happens to land on our deck & gets a free meal, it won’t include lunch & dinner.
