Terry and I have been busy gardening this week,well trying to garden.I had to abandon gardening at the top of the property,due to the constant wet weather.The mud was that bad,my Gum boots were getting stuck with every step I took. All I was doing was trying to stay upright most of the time,much to the amusement of the neighbours cows.
So I thought it would be a good idea to start on a flat bit of the garden,by the Reception.I spend a few nights working out what plants to get & what design I wanted it to be.
Hubby had started digging the footings for the foundation & getting the cement in,ready for the stone wall he was going to build. We put in some good soil & a few new plants which at the moment look very lost with what’s going on.
With all the digging & adding of new soil,the little section of garden we have prepared looks more like a it would be better as a open air mud bath, than a beautiful spot I had imagined.Where once was a lovely bit of grass,is now non existent.It has left me thinking i should have waited for better weather.
Oh well there’s always tomorrow!
